Diabetic Concerns
Diabetic eye disease is a major cause of blindness in the United States. An eye examination performed by an ophthalmologist in coordination with your primary care provider can prevent vision threatening complications caused by Diabetes.
The floating specks you sometimes see in front of your eyes are not on the surface of your eyes, but inside them. These bits of cellular debris that come and go without treatment are called Eye Floaters.
A vision condition that causes blurred vision due either to the irregular shape of the cornea, the clear front cover of the eye, or sometimes the curvature of the lens inside the eye may be Astigmatism.
Macular degeneration (AMD) is caused by deterioration of the retina and can severely impair vision. There is no cure for macular degeneration, but it can be treated with vitamins, laser therapy, medications, and vision aids.
